REGGAE BAND TRIBAL SEEDS ANNOUNCES NATIONAL FALL 2011 TOUR
Award-winning reggae group Tribal Seeds announces their fall

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 16, 2011)-- San Diego based, award-winning reggae band Tribal Seeds announced today the dates for their upcoming fall 2011 tour. The shows will span over 25 dates in two months, kicking off in Tucson, Arizona at The Rock on October 12, 2011. Tribal Seeds have become known for their spiritually driven, refreshing rock vibe, that they have intertwined with the roots style of reggae music. Of the tour, the band shares, “We look forward to bringing a new show with songs from our latest EP ʻSoundwavesʼ and new twists to some of our older fan favorite songs. Fans might get sneak peak of some brand new unreleased stuff as well! Have to come out and see for yourself!” On July 19, 2011, Tribal Seeds gave listeners a brand new EP entitled “Soundwaves,” which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Reggae Charts. Their previous efforts, their debut, self titled album, “Tribal Seeds” was released in 2008, and their second album “The Harvest” was released in June of 2009. iTunes named both albums the “Best Of” in the Reggae genre, for their respected years. Their debut album helped garner them the “Best World Music” title at the San Diego Music Awards in 2008, and “The Harvest,” which contained fourteen new and original songs, debuted at the number 5 spot on the Billboard Reggae Charts.
Tribal Seeds have toured throughout the United States, and have also performed in Mexico, Guam, Aruba, and Hawaii. They have shared the stage with artists such as Matisyahu, MGMT, Cee Lo Green, Jason Mraz, Sublime with Rome, Taking Back Sunday, O.A.R., Pretty Lights, Pepper, Collie BuddzThe Wailers, Stephen Marley, Gregory Issacs, SOJA, Rebelution, and many more.

Since the launch of YourJax Music, we have known that everything we do will be trial and error.  The show will always continue to evolve and we will continue to change and adjust the way we do things.  This is also true for the selection process when it comes to picking music artists to schedule and feature on the show.

The open mic at Latitude 30 helped but did not always go as planned.  The Open Mic is no longer going to be a part of YourJax Music Night.  I thank everyone who came out to be a part of it, but it didn't quite seem to catch on.  As for using it to find new talent, that was also hit or miss as we did not always have decision makers on hand to listen to every band and provide feedback on a regular basis.  Also, to be fair, in many cases the artist may not have been given ample time to perform and really represent themselves.

Soooo, now we have an open calendar starting in Feb and we're ready to book the open dates for recording.  We are partnering with George's music and 6 different venues to hold live auditions.  This time everyone gets 30 minutes to perform and there will be judges on hand, paying attention, and filling out score cards.  Bands will be graded on musicianship, style, and originality.  We have room to audition at least 24 local music artists and will be selecting at least 12 to schedule for YourJax Music recordings.  4 of the music artists will also get featured exclusively in their own episode and get to Host that episode themselves!  We will also approach 3 bands to perform in the upcoming YourJax Music Fest at the Jacksonville Fair in November.  There may also be some bonus stuff added later to give away.

George's music will be providing the backline equipment and running sound.  At least 50% of your set must be original.  Any genre is welcome.  Space is limited so to enter visit either George's Music location with a demo CD, DVD, or VHS and fill out an entry form.  Not every entry is guaranteed a slot so don't waste too much time in getting your entry in if you are interested.

Bands Against Breast Cancer is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering women to save their own lives in the battle against breast cancer. They are in the process of conducting educational and informational activities throughout the First Coast area, and plan to expand to other areas in 2012. By using a non-traditional medium such as music, they are able to attract young people and inspire them to become more involved in the community.

Boobsaplooza™ is their major fundraising event. The event is ten bands playing on two stages at Lynch’s Irish Pub on October 1st. The crowd is large and diverse. People of all ages and socio-economic backgrounds attend the event.

There will be a lot of events leading up to Boobsapalooza, including some events partnering with Naval Station Mayport, so keep an ear out and "Like" their page to keep informed!

JACKSONVILLE -- On Sunday, June 5th, America's country sweetheart and multi-Grammy Award winner/actress LeAnn Rimes will take the stage for an all acoustic set to assist victims of the tornadoes that ravaged Alabama on April 27th and Missouri on May 22nd. 

"An Evening with LeAnn Rimes," presented by Jonathan Jaxson, will take place in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall. The evening will not only feature a full acoustic set by LeAnn, but her husband, and new NBC drama star of the show "Playboy," Eddie Cibrian will co-host along with a silent auction that will start before the show begins.

The silent auction will include signed memorabilia from Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Tim McGraw, Kim Kardashian, Reba McEntire, the cast of 'Glee,' and a special auction for a private drink with LeAnn Rimes and husband Eddie Cibrian following the show. 

Event coordinator and producer, Jonathan Jaxson spoke about how this came to fruition, "I have wanted to help the victims of the Alabama tornadoes since they happened in April, but didn't have all the money I would like to give to help others to have the chance to get back on their feet. After the recent tornado in Joplin, MO, I couldn't sit any longer and I decided to start calling up celebrity friends and making contact on Twitter with celebrities I knew about joining on for something that can change so many lives in desperate need right now. The first person to reply was, my Twitter friend, LeAnn Rimes. Without question she said, "YES! What can I do to help?" From there it was a matter of 8-hours and I had secured the venue, the talent, and radio promotion partner WQIK. Now we can help here in my hometown of Jacksonville, FL, and can be greatly entertained by doing so with one of country music's greatest!"

Jaxson continued, "I have been in tears for weeks watching these tragedies unfold on TV and online, and now it is time to stand up and do something about it..."

LeAnn says, "We all need a hand sometimes and this is the time. Our heart goes out to Alabama and Missouri and all those affected by the recent tragedies there. I am happy Eddie and I can help out in some way."

LeAnn Rimes has sold more than 37 million albums, won two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards.
