Geffen Records has been kind enough to supply us with 4 copies of the new CD by Italian singing sensations, IL VOLO. We originally reported on IL VOLO back on April 8th and offered a free download of their version of the classic Italian love song, “O Sole Mio“, for our Free Music Friday. Their self-titled debut album is already certified platinum in Italy and just released in the US on May 17th. The album features three new songs and covers of Italian classics like “Il mondo”, “Un amore così grande” and “’O sole mio”.

Local bluegrass  band, Grandpa's Cough Medicine, is celebrating their first Album "Jailbird Blues. 

Fresh from The Atlantic Seafood Festival, St. Augustine Lions’ Seafood Festival and Suwannee Springfest, local band Grandpa’s Cough Medicine is proud to announce their CD Release Party at Mojo Kitchen in Jacksonville Beach, to be held on April 16, 2011.

The night will kick off with the sounds of Southern Soul Troubadour Wes Cobb beginning at 9 p.m., followed by Grandpa’s Cough Medicine entertaining the crowd with a performance of original outlaw bluegrass music and hot pickin’. Admission is $5; CDs are $10 each. T-shirts will also be available, in men’s and women’s styles and sizes.
